Why do we dig in the garden, jog in the park, or just need to get outside?
How does our relationship with our surroundings change and affect us?
Do we prefer these places, or do we prefer who we become in these places?

With these paintings I explore the relationship between leaves and their surroundings,
how light can change a leaf,  how a leaf can change the light,
and how environment and object play with each other like two parts of a rhyme.

This series explores relationships in nature that suggest we do not sit apart from our environment, but are instead an integral part of it.
